2018 Renaultsport Megane R.S. spotted with centre-mounted exhausts

The Renaultsport Megane RS is still a few months from its full reveal but thanks to Facebook user, Ferd, we now have an early preview of the hothatch’s rear end.

While the next-generation Megane RS may share the regular hatch’s five-door body style, the spy pic shows us there are a few significant changes, including a racier roof-mounted spoiler, chunkier rear bumper with built-in rear diffuser of which sprouts a set of centre-exit exhausts.

Not much is known about the new RS at this stage but as we reported last year, the new model might get all-wheel drive for the first time, along with four-wheel steering.

Its 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine is also expected to deliver at least 223kW matched with a standard 6-speed manual, with a dual-clutch transmission available for the first time.

The all-new 2018 Renaultsport Megane RS is said to be scheduled for a September reveal at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
