Video: Lotus Commits to Turn Five Concepts into Production Models

Lotus is back! You may recall Lotus unveiled 5 gorgeous concept cars at last year’s Paris Motor Show. The renaissance for the company is about to start with the British sports car company confirming that it will put every single one of those concepts into production.

This was made official with the Malaysian owned company unloading a video online outlining its commitment for the future. The new cars will be gradually rolled out between 2013 and 2015, starting with the Espirt and Elan in 2013. This will be followed by the Elite in 2014 and culminating with the Elise and four-door Eterne in 2015.

2010 in Paris was one of the biggest and most important shows for Lotus and the company acknowledges that it needs to find different ways of reminding people of the complete revolution the brand is currently going through.

Lotus Group CEO Danny Bahar explains in the new video that this year will be just as significant as the last for Lotus.

“2010 saw the rebirth of Lotus,” Mr Bahar said. “2011 – the vision comes to life.”

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the production versions do not stray too much from the concepts!
