The Superleggera is back! This time, as a Huracan Superleggera. The badge last adorned the Lamborghini Gallardo, but a new spy video taken at the Nürburgring shows Lamborghini is preparing the third Huracan variant.

While still wrapped in full camouflage, it is apparent the car sports a more aggressive front bumper, side skirts and rear diffuser, along with a towering rear wing. We can also see a new twin exhaust system, which has moved from the outer edges of the rear bumper to the centre.

The hardcore Huracan Superleggera will reportedly lose 100kg over the standard model, thanks to a diet of extensive carbon fibre and probably a stripped out interior.

Together with an expected power boost of 10-20 horsepower (7-15kW) from the supercar’s 5.2-litre V10 engine, the lightweight Superleggera will no doubt be one of the fastest Huracans. It will be matched with revised suspension, better brakes and larger wheels.

The 2017 Lamborghini Huracan Superleggera is expected to debut later this year.
