Legendary Gumball 3000 racer Jon Olsson is no stranger to the car modification game, he is renowned for his bespoke supercar projects ranging from the Rebellion R2K to his widebody Audi RS6 DTM.

His latest project is his most ambitious, so formidable that he dubbed it “the Mega Lamborghini Huracan”.

What you see above is the vehicle’s current state. The Huracan was driven 478km under Jon’s ownership before being stripped and prepped for laser scanning. The Swedish visualization company “MLT” have been employed to perform the Laser scanning with the resulting 3D model to become the base for the project. Using the model, Jon will be able to design and fabricate carbon fibre panels with almost OEM fitment precision.

“This is the first car I’ve made in 3D,” Jon said. “I am pretty sure that this will give me the means to take my car building to the next level”.

Olsson isn’t alone on this venture, he has enlisted the help of Stertan Motorsports, the Swedish tuner who was responsible for fitting the twin 18-karat gold turbo’s that boosted Jon’s last RS6 project to 746kW. Having Stertan on board would mean big power in store for the Huracan.

Jon Olsson commented: “I feel like I can put all the experience I have gained over the years on builds into this one and really do it right from the beginning!” He also mentioned that it’s his “goal with this one is to be able to drive a mad machine every single day.”

The project is certainly a labor of love with the result to be a sure masterpiece. We will be keeping an eye on this project.
