Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse revealed ahead of Frankfurt Show

Lamborghini has unveiled the new Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse, named after Lamborghini’s motorsport department. The car is based on the Gallardo Super Trofeo and is designed to bring “race track emotion directly to the road.”

The main distinguishing feature of the super car is its quick-release engine cover and prominent rear wing. There are also the expected carbon fibre components to make the car lighter. Tri-colour stripes find pride of price next to the rear air scoop.

The car’s interior receives relatively few changes except for an Alcantara-wrapped dashboard and carbon fibre trim. There are also the obligatory alloy pedals, racing seats and special Squadra Corse badging.

The Squadra Corse is powered by a 5.2-litre V10 engine that generates 419kW of power driving all four wheels via a six-speed e-gear transmission. It propels the 1,340kg supercar from 0-100km/h in 3.4 seconds, 0-200km/h in 10.4 seconds and en route to a top speed of 320km/h.

The Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse will make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month where further details will be revealed.
