Lexus has added additional specification and splashes of colour to its IS, ES and CT models this spring. The updates include a range of cosmetic, usability and technology upgrades to the three vehicles.

Headlining the updates on the IS model is the addition of Rear Cross Traffic Alert to F Sport and Sports Luxury models, along with IS 300h Luxury models specified with enhancement pack 2 and 3.

Cosmetic changes include the adoption of LED fog lamps for Luxury and Sports Luxury models, updates to interior trim and new silver highlights applied to air vents, clock, centre register, door trim and steering wheel. A new Moonstone interior leather-accented trim has been added, replacing light grey. The Lexus Remote Touch interface has also been revised to increase ease of use.

Lexus IS 300h models receive a new hybrid badge design and can now be specified with 18-inch alloy wheels as part of enhancement pack 2 and 3 (previously limited to F Sport variants).

ES 300h and 350 models receive a significant update to multimedia systems allowing for the introduction of Enform connected mobility services, and SD card-based navigation that alerts drivers to speed and red light cameras and school zones.

The active safety package for all ES models is further enhanced with the addition of Rear Cross Traffic Alert as standard.

The tech updates also coincide with the introduction of Titanium Silver paint to the line-up, replacing Blue Pearl.

CT models receive new one-touch indicator and a revised Lexus Remote Touch controller. Cosmetic changes include the addition of Sonic Quartz exterior paint (replacing White Pearl) and cosmetic changes to the engine bay on Luxury models.

Lexus Australia chief executive Sean Hanley said that the updates to CT, IS and ES models enhance usability and add significant value to an already compelling package.

“Updates to the CT, IS and ES Lines improve the functionality, safety and visual appeal of these Lexus models,” Mr Hanley said.

“We’ve added these items at little or no extra cost to consumers – further enhancing Lexus’ reputation of comprehensive standard specification at outstanding value.”
