A Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 prototype has been caught on video testing in Germany with heavy front camouflage.

Seen here using a regular GLC as a mule, the prototype appears to sport wider front and rear tracks, with AMG’s trademark quad pipe protruding from the rear.

Behind the front camouflage is likely to be enlarged air intakes and AMG’s sports bumper.

The major work though, will be found underneath the vehicle, with a heavily rework chassis featuring Air Body Control air suspension with adaptive damping, a re-tuned steering system and larger brakes.

It will borrow its 4.0-litre biturbo V8 from the C63 AMG in two states of tuned: 350kW & 650Nm of torque in the normal version, and 375kW & 700Nm in the range-topping GLC63 S variant.

The Mercedes-AMG GLC63 is expected to hit the market some time next year.
