As if 375kW and 650Nm aren’t enough, German tuner Piecha Design has turned the heat up on the Mercedes-AMG GT S even further with the introduction of a power upgrade package.

The 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 in the AMG flagship scores a new Performance Power Kit which enables it to churn out 463kW and a colossal 780Nm of torque. The added power is backed by a 100,000 km guarantee for the engine, transmission and differential. It also comes with a 2-year warranty from the tuner when installed in an AMG GT less than two years old.

Called the Mercedes-AMG GT RSR, the boosted performance allows the rear-wheel drive sports car to demolish the sprint from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds, 0.1 second faster than the factory time. Crucially, top speed is now increased to 330km/h.

Complementing the extra power is an aerodynamic package consisting of a front splitter, fixed rear wing, rear diffuser and full underfloor cover. All panels are made entirely from carbon fibre.
