McLaren MP4-12C GT3 Races in Spa-Francorchamps

The 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps race took place over the weekend. This year saw a highly anticipated new entry to the race, the McLaren MP4-12C GT3. In road car form, the MP4-12C is already getting much praise from the press for its incredible performance. The Spa-Francorchamps 24 hour provide another great opportunity for McLaren to really pit the MP4-12C against the best GT3 racers on the field.

McLaren brought 3 cars to the race and they finished in the 25th place, 56th and 62nd place. Not a bad finish considering this was the first time the MP4-12C GT3 raced the Spa. The road going car, designed to go against the Ferrari 458 Italia is powered by a 3.8 liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing 592 horsepower and 601 Nm of torque.
