Like the F-Type Roadster, the Coupe is every bit as sleek and is almost identical to the C-X16 Concept that made its debut in 2011.

Although we will have to wait for the official press release later today, it is likely that the coupe will carry the same engine range as the Roadster, including a 3.0-litre supercharged V6 with two different state of tune – 250kW and 280kW, the 364kW supercharged V8, and a top of the range 404kW supercharged V8 in the hardcore “R” variant.

Update:

The model line-up is headlined by the F-Type R Coupe, its 404kW/680Nm 5.0-litre supercharged V8 is capable of propelling the car from 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds and on to a limited top speed of 300km/h. It features Jaguar’s second-generation Electronic Active Differential which works in parallel with a new Torque Vectoring system to deliver enhanced handling.

The F-Type R Coupe is joined by the F-Type S Coupe and F-Type Coupe to complete the range. Powered respectively by a 280kW and 250kW versions of Jaguar’s 3.0-litre supercharged V6 engine, they blitz the century sprint in 4.9 and 5.3 seconds and have top speeds of 275km/h and 260km/h. All engines drive the rear wheels via an 8-speed ‘Quickshift’ transmission with full manual sequential control via steering wheel-mounted paddles or the central SportShift lever.

A Carbon Ceramic Matrix braking system featuring 398/380mm discs front/rear is optional on both the F-Type R and F-Type S models.

The all-aluminium F-Type Coupe builds on Jaguars expertise in aluminium, delivering a torsional rigidity of 33,000 Nm/degree – the highest ever on a production Jaguar.

At the back, the F-Type Coupe has up to 407 litres of boot space, with power assisted opening tailgate available.
