Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer pays homage to original Valiant Pacer

Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of an Australian motoring icon, the 1969 Valiant Pacer, Chrysler Australia today announced details of the Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer, reviving the Pacer nameplate in 2020.

Paying homage to the original Valiant Pacer, the Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer will be available in an exclusive run of just 50 units across three colours, Bright White, Gloss Black and Ceramic Grey.

“Marking the 50th Anniversary of the much loved Valiant Pacer, we’re excited to celebrate such a milestone with this limited edition car – a revival of the Pacer nameplate for Australian motoring enthusiasts,” said Guillaume Drelon, Director of Product, Chrysler Australia.

“This is truly a modern take on an Australian classic and we’re excited to bring the Pacer back in this exclusive run of fantastic looking vehicles.”

Based on the Chrysler 300 SRT Core, the Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer features details that pay homage to the original 1969 Chrysler Valiant Pacer. Inspired by the Valiant’s black and red horizontal front grill, the Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer features a unique black and red decal across the lower apron with the classic ‘Pacer’ logo embedded within, as well as black and red rear bootlid decal.

The ‘Pacer 392’ badge sits proudly on the vehicle’s side behind the front wheels, referencing the engine’s imperial displacement of 392 Cubit inches – a nod to classic muscle cars. The side panels are further adorned with a sweeping red and black decal stripe along the shoulder of the vehicle, concluding at the rear with ‘HEMI’ integrated into the stripe, denoting the powerful 6.4L HEMI V8 under the bonnet.

Also under the bonnet, each Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer is fitted with an individually numbered build plate. Unique to each vehicle, the build plate corresponds to the production number of each of the coveted limited edition build.

Inside the cabin, the interior is accented with Pacer enhancements including ‘Pacer 392’ sill trims and ‘Pacer’ labelled front floor mats. The centre console is also decorated with a special edition plaque the highlights the vehicle build number further showcasing the Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer’s exclusivity.

A real tribute to Australia’s celebrated home grown Valiant Pacer, this exclusive run of Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer vehicles is now available for order at Chrysler dealerships from $69,950 plus on-road costs.
