Toyota announces GR Supra Fuji Speedway Edition with 2.0L 4-pot

Toyota will launch a GR Supra Fuji Speedway Edition with a turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine.

Spec’ed remarkably similar to the twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre inline 6-cylinder GR Supra, the Fuji Speedway Edition features red mirror caps and red brake callipers.

Four-pot Brembo brakes are also standard fit, with 348mm front discs. It rolls on 19-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sports rubber, with a staggered setup of 255/35s up front and 275/35s in the rear.

Inside the special edition is available with several optional enhancement packages which up spec the Supra with goodies such as built-in navigation, JBL 12-speaker premium sound system, head-up display, wireless smartphone charger and red-accented leather seats.

For tighter handling matching that of the six pot Supra, active rear differential and adaptive suspension are also available.

The 2.0-litre Supra pumps out 190kW and 400Nm. Driving through an 8-speed automatic, the claimed 0-100km/h sprint takes 5.2 seconds.

Created by Toyota’s European division, the Supra Fuji Speedway Edition is exclusively available in Europe for now, with a March 2020 launch limited to just 200 units.
