Mercedes-Benz is continuing to drip feed us with images and information of the all-new 2014 C-Class (W205), ahead of its debut in January 2014 at the NAIAS in Detroit. Following a teaser video yesterday, the company has just released a few interior photos of the car.

The interior styling theme follows Mercedes’ recent trend with round air-con vents and a large centre touch-screen. The fourth-generation C-Class will be offered as standard with a 7” free-standing display or an optional 8.4” colour monitor along with an optional head-up display and a touch-control pad.

The new C-Class also boasts an innovative air-conditioning system which uses GPS data to detect tunnels to automatically close the air recirculation flap so that fumes from inside the tunnel is kept away from the cabin. It is also equipped with a front passenger seat sensor that disengages the passenger airbag once it detects a child seat is in place.

Depending on engine choice, customers can order an optional Airmatic air suspension which enables the driver to choose between Comfort, ECO, Sport and Sport Plus modes that alters the damper settings. The system also comes with a self-levelling feature that lowers the car’s ride height at highway speeds to improve aerodynamics and fuel efficiency.
