Want the performance of the new Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG but struggle to find $86,900 for one? Well, for $20,000 less you can get a CLA 250 Sport and have it tweaked by German tuner VÄTH.

The VÄTH developed upgrade kit for the CLA 250 consists of a new engine management remap, stainless steel sports exhaust system and an improved air intake system. The upgrades lift power output from the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine from the standard 155kW and 350Nm to a potent 195kW and 420Nm.

With the increase in power, the VÄTH tuned CLA 250 dispatches the first 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds, en route to an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

Complementing the added performance is a set of 20-inch forged customVÄTH three-piece wheels measuring 8.0 x 20 with 225/30 ZR20 tyres at the front and 9.5 x 20 with 265/25 ZR20 rubber for the rear. The four-dour coupe is also equipped with a carbon fibre front lip spoiler, boot lid spoiler and a set of adjustable lowering coilover suspension which allows a drop of anywhere from 20 to 65 mm.

Customer can also opt for improved braking performance via steel flex tubes upgrade and Castrol SRF racing braking fluid.

Inside, VÄTH offers a leather/leather sports steering wheel, optionally available also with carbon or high-grade timber, a speedometer enlargement up to 300 km/h and a wear-resistant foot mat set made of black velvet with silver coloured VÄTH logo.
