Nissan Altima local pricing announced – on sale November

Nissan has release the local pricing of its all-new mid-size Nissan Altima range, which replaces the current Nissan Maxima. Scheduled for release in November, the car will have a starting price of $29,990 plus on-roads for the Altima ST.

The Nissan Altima is among a slew of new products offensive by Nissan Australia, the others being the Nissan JUKE and next-generation Nissan Pathfinder, both set to arrive this month.

Powering the Altima are two petrol engines – a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder producing 127kW of power and 230Nm of torque which is standard on the ST, ST-L and Ti models, while a 3.5-litre V6 petrol generating 185kW of power and 326Nm of torque is found under the Ti-S model. Both are married to Nissan’s next-generation X-TRONIC CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission).

Amongst the standard features is the firm’s NissanConnect system that uses inbuilt applications connected with the user’s Smartphone. It offers the ability to hear and read Facebook status updates, to connect with friends and nearby restaurants or attractions using Online Search with Google and to listen to music online using Pandora.

The entry-level Nissan Altima ST comes with a raft of comfort and convenience features, including:

  • 16-inch alloy wheels (with full-sized 16-inch steel spare wheel)
  • Six-speaker audio system with five-inch display, USB/iPod^^      connectivity and AUX-IN jack Bluetooth®1  hands-free phone system
  • Steering wheel-mounted audio controls and cruise-control operation
  • Dual-zone climate control air-conditioning
  • Intelligent Key keyless entry system
  • Power windows
  • Six-way manual height/slide/recline adjustable driver’s seat
  • 60/40 split-fold rear seating
  • Automatic on/off headlights with headlight washers
  • Electrically adjustable door mirrors

The Nissan Altima ST-L offers buyers more, with inclusions such as:

  • 17-inch alloy wheels (with full-sized 17-inch alloy spare wheel)
  • Satellite navigation
  • Rear view camera
  • Parking sensors (front and rear)
  • Premium BOSE audio system with nine speakers, colour seven-inch      QVGA display, Bluetooth®1 audio streaming and NissanConnect smartphone      integration
  • Leather accented seat trim and steering wheel^
  • Eight-way manual height/slide/recline adjustable driver’s seat

The NissanConnect smartphone integration system allows drivers to stay in touch with the outside world via their smartphone and the Altima’s hands-free technology and display screen.

The Nissan Altima Ti offers even more equipment, such as:

2013 Nissan Altima ST rear quarter

The range-leading Altima Ti-S delivers customers the same generous standard inclusions as the Altima Ti but with the power of the 183kW V6 petrol engine and the inclusion of manual (M) mode and paddle shifters for the operation of the smooth Xtronic CVT.

The Nissan Altima Ti and Ti-S grades come equipped with Nissan’s Intelligent Technology Suite, which comprises three innovative safety technologies. These are:

  • Blind Spot Warning
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Moving Object Detection

All grades in the Nissan Altima range come equipped with Nissan’s Advanced Drive Assist Display (ADAD). Mounted in the instrument binnacle between the tachometer and speedometer, ADAD is a 3D display that informs the driver of key information, such as turn-by-turn directions from the satellite navigation system (as fitted to the Altima ST-L, Ti, Ti-S), Lane Departure Warning (as fitted to the Altima Ti and Ti-S) and caller ID.
