Prior Design appears to be one of the first tuners to come up with a tuning package for the brand new BMW 8 Series Coupe as it inches closer to first customer deliveries.
Teased via this sole image, the PD800 aero package brings a wide-body kit that dials up the 8 Series’ aggression a few notches; courtesy of those massive wheel arches extensions, redesigned front apron with a prominent splitter and deeper air intakes, chunky side skirts and a vented bonnet.
While the teaser image hides what’s going on at the rear, we do spot a boot lid spoiler. It is safe to assume there will be a substantial rear diffuser to match the rest of the body kit.
The look is completed with a set of 21-inch PD4 light-alloy wheels that fill up those fat wheel arches properly.
As is tradition with Prior Design, the PD800 tuning kit will feature an H&R coil-over kit that allows the driver to adjust the car’s ride height.
The kit is purely aesthetic but the 8 Series isn’t lacking on its own, packing a 235kW six-cylinder in-line diesel engine straight from the factory in base 840d xDrive guise.
There’s also a 390kW V8 petrol in the M850i xDrive that is capable of blasting from 0-100km/h in just 3.7 seconds.
