Long-time Mercedes-Benz tuner, Brabus has introduced their new tuning programme for the Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG.
Known as the Brabus 850 6.0 Biturbo, Brabus has massaged the SL’s twin-turbocharged 5.5-litre V8 to produce 850HP (625kW) and a massive 1,450Nm (1,069 lb-ft) of torque. That’s an extraordinary increase of 313HP (230kW) and 650Nm (479 lb-ft) over the stock engine!
No performance figures have been released but the standard SL63 AMG will blitz 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds before hitting a top speed of 250km/h. We won’t be surprised if Brabus SL shaves 1.5 seconds off the stop watch and hit a top end of over 300km/h.
Besides the performance upgrade, the 850 6.0 Biturbo kit also brings an aerodynamic styling package. It is consists of a front splitter, a bonnet scoop and a rear diffuser – all made of carbon fibre. There is also a bootlid mounted spoiler, sports exhaust system and 20-inch forged alloy wheels.
