Saleen Automotive has introduced the 2014 George Follmer Edition Ford Mustang at Laguna Seca as part of the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
Named after George Follmer, one of the most successful racing drivers of this era, the Saleen Follmer Edition Mustang is inspired by the #16 1969 Boss 302 Mustang that George Follmer campaign in the same year.
The car wears a tri-colour paint scheme and rolls on vintage-look 19-inch alloy wheel. It is powered by a naturally-aspirated V8 engine delivering an estimated 350kW (470bhp) connected to a six-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. The muscle car has also been fitted with a race-spec suspension with watts link rear suspension and sports exhaust.
Priced from around US$75,000, the 2014 Saleen George Follmer Edition Mustang is now on sales in the US.
