Red Bull Racing testing new F1 steering with Tweeting capabilities

Red Bull Racing new F1 steering with Twitter capabilities

Social media is about to invade Formula One. Yes, you’ll soon be able to see live tweets from F1 drivers from where the action is – on the race track!

Red Bull Racing has revealed that they will be testing a new steering wheel for their car that incorporates Twitter capabilities. The “experimental” steering wheel will be put into action at the Bahrain Grand Prix that allows the team’s drivers to stay connected with their fans and tweet about exciting moments during the race.

You may question the practicality of tweeting while driving, more so when the vehicle involved is hurdling down a track at warp speeds. Red Bull said most of the tweets will take place during pit stops when drivers have a few seconds to spare.
