A duo of pre-production Honda NSX prototypes (wearing Acura badge) have been spotted by reddit user, Theodoros9.

Sporting the same magnificent red paint job as the show car from the North American International Auto Show where Honda’s premium brand, Acura, unveiled the car in production guise, the 2nd-generation NSX is one of the most anticipated cars this year.

While Honda remains coy on the car’s final output, we can expect the twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6 hybrid engine to produce in excess of 405kW (550hp), channeled to all four wheels via the company’s Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system.

We also know that it will roll on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels wrapped in 245/35Z R19 front and 295/30Z R20 rear tyres. Stopping power comes courtesy of carbon ceramic brakes clamped by six-piston front, and four-piston rear calipers.

And the good news is, the Honda NSX has been confirmed for Australia. Rumours also has it that a more potent Type R is also on the cards.
