New Photos: BMW 2-Series spied almost undisguised

New photos taken by spy photographers in Germany of a thinly disguised BMW 2-Series have further revealed the of design of the highly anticipated coupe.

Following the footsteps of the new BMW 4-Series coupe, the smaller 2-Series can be seen from the photos adopting a sleeker and lower side profile compared to the 1-Series coupe that it will replace. Thanks to a higher rear deck and a more prominent rear shoulder crease, the 2-Series’ design is more refined and much better proportioned than its predecessor’s.

Due to hit showrooms in early 2014, the BMW 2-Series line up will include the 220i, 220d and 225i. Topping the range is the 3.0-litre turbocharged in-line six M235i with 240 kW and 450 Nm of torque before the arrival of the M2 to replace the current 1M coupe.
