In Japanese, Hazumi means to “bound” or “spring up” – an apt name for the car designed to look as if it is literally bursting with energy. Like the recently launched Mazda3 and the bigger Mazda3, the Hazumi expresses the latest iteration of Mazda’s KODO design language.

Inside, the interior again draws inspiration from the Mazda3, with an instrument cluster that looks like the cross section of a plane.

Mazda will also showcase its SkyActiv-D 1.5, a newly developed small capacity diesel engine that will likely power the next-generation Mazda2 in certain markets.
