Jaguar F-Type SVR specs and photos leaked

Official specs and photos of the upcoming Jaguar F-Type SVR have leaked online. Already on the agenda for the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, the hottest version of the F-Type range will pack an uprated supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine and eight-speed automatic gearbox. It will take on the Porsche 911 Turbo and Mercedes-AMG GT with 428kW and 700Nm, 18kW and 20Nm more than the F-Type R.

The Jaguar F-Type SVR will be offered both as a coupe and as a roadster. 100km/h arrives in 3.7 seconds from rest. The coupe will nudge 322km/h flat out, while the roadster will manage 313km/h.

Already aluminium intensive, the F-Type SVR’s further weight saving comes from the titanium exhaust system (12kg saving), 20-inch forged rims (10kg saving) and the optional carbon-ceramic brakes (21kg saving).

Visually, the F-Type SVR is distinguishable by the larger air intakes in the front bumper, air breather behind the front fenders and fixed rear spoiler. It’s slated to go on in the third quarter of this year.
