Infiniti Emerg-E Concept

Infiniti, Nissan’s luxury offshoot, has been toying with the idea of a supercar for some time now. First there were rumours that a rebadged Nissan GT-R will take on that role, now it looks like the Japenese maker has finally decided to make a proper supercar, albeit in concept form.

These are the first official photos of the mid-engined, range-extended electric supercar from Infiniti, called Emerg-E. If it ever makes it to production, the curvaceous sportscar will join the ranks of the Lexus LFA, Audi R8 and McLaren MP4-12C.

However, what remains to be seen is the Emerg-E’s green drivetrain – will it deliver performance that is on par with its competitors? We can’t wait to find out but the car is a winner based on looks alone! Let’s hope Infiniti’s engineers can take the concept to production without toning down its lines.
