As per our previous report, the new BMW F80 M3 will be powered by the first V6 engine in the Bavarian company’s history and here is proof.
This heavily camouflaged BMW was caught testing in none other than the famous Nurburgring in Germany and the engine can be clearly heard as it burns around the track giving a higher pitch sound.
BMW purists around the world won’t be pleased about this, as many are already jumping up and down to protest the switch from the traditional high revving naturally aspirated powerplant to a turbocharged V-configuration.
The new engine won’t be a slouch though. It is said to produce 429hp (320kW/435PS) and 548Nm (405 lb ft) of torque.
