BMW Drift Challenge: self drifting M235i vs drift champ

Last year, BMW gave us the “drift-mob” starring a fleet of BMW M235i having a tyre-smoking time on the streets of South Africa.

This year, the German manufacturer is bringing us an epilog called “The Ultimate Drift Challenge” by pitching two M235is against each other in a drift-off. While it may sound straight forward, there is actually a twist!

One of the cars is an autonomous vehicle driven by ones and zeros instead of flesh and blood.

The challenge? Drift the vehicles in an allocated circle as close to the edge as possible. And the winner? We’ll let you find out from the video below.
