BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé now available with diesel

BMW Australia has introduced its first ever diesel powered 6 Series, the BMW 640d Gran Coupé. The company believes with diesel engines gaining acceptance in the local market, the 640d is a perfect fit.

“The BMW 640d Gran Coupé received critical acclaim when it was launched internationally last year.  This diesel engine has effortless and efficient performance and will add additional appeal to the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé line-up,” said Phil Horton, BMW Group Australia Managing Director.

The latest 6 Series addition is powered by a 3.0-litre all-aluminium turbocharged straight-six generating 230kW and 630Nm from 1,500rpm. 0-100km/h is done in just 5.4 seconds while average fuel consumption ranges from 5.6 to 5.7 litres per 100km, depending on tyre format selected.

Standard features are extensive and include 19-inch alloy wheels, full colour head-up display, rear view camera, four-zone climate control, adaptive LED headlights with high beam assist, professional navigation system, multifunction instrument display and Bluetooth connectivity.

The M Sport Package is available as a no cost option. The BMW 640d Gran Coupé is specified and priced similarly to its petrol counterpart at $184,800 and is available to order now.
