2015 Ford Everest pricing and specifications. On sale October

2015-ford-everest-front-quarter

Ford has announced the pricing and specifications of the all-new Australian-developed 2015 Ford Everest ahead of its on sale date in October.

The 7-seat SUV range kicks off at $54,990 for the Everest, jumping to $60,990 for the Everest Trend and tops out at $76,990 for the Everest Titanium – all powered by a 143kW/470Nm 3.2-litre turbo-diesel engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with sports shift mode.

Ford’s latest SUV also delivers the latest Ford in-car technology and advanced driver assist features such as the standard four-mode Terrain Management System. The advanced four-mode Terrain Management System is said to deliver a balance of off-road capability with refined on-road driving characteristics. There are 4 settings: Normal; Snow/Mud/Grass; Sand; and Rock, each providing the optimum traction for the road conditions. There are also an electronic locking rear differential and torque-on-demand via an active transfer case that detects wheel speeds with clutches controlling torque split front to rear.

Ford Everest side

Another advanced technology is the Curve Control Technology, designed to maximise security on winding roads. Curve Control senses when a vehicle is entering a curve too quickly, and can apply four-wheel smart braking to reduce vehicle speed.

The range boasts a towing capacity of up to 3,000kg and water wading depth of up to 800mm, making it one of the most capable in its class.
