2014 Jaguar XJ pricing and specifications

Jaguar has updated the 2014 Jaguar XJ with enhanced luxury features, comfort and in-car technology.  The carmaker’s luxury sedan is offered with a choice of 202kW/600Nm 3.0-litre V6 turbocharged diesel and 250kW/450Nm supercharged petrol engines, and two 5.0-litre V8 supercharged petrol engines – 375kW/625Nm on the XJ, and 404kW/680 on the XJR.

All variants are matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The 14MY update is underlined by the palette of materials used on the interior. This includes soft grain and semi-aniline leather, and a wide choice of veneers including Piano Black, Carbon Fibre, Gloss Burr Walnut and Satin Rosewood.

The long-wheelbase models, which doesn’t come with a price premium over the standard wheelbase models, now feature enhanced rear cabin luxury features which includes ‘airline’ style reclining seats with massage function, increased headroom, optional fold-out business tables and a specially re-tuned rear suspension setup to enhance rear seat ride comfort.

Rear seat passengers on the XJ can also be treated to an optional Rear Seat Entertainment package featuring two hi-resolution touch screens, and optional premium Meridian Reference Audio System with Conversation Assist.

14MY XJ customers can choose from an exterior palette comprising 15 colours: Polaris White, Ebony, Ultimate Black, Stratus Grey, Lunar Grey, Rhodium Silver, Cashmere, Osmium Blue, Dark Sapphire, Caviar, Carnelian Red, Black Amethyst, Italian Racing Red, British Racing Green and Satellite Grey.

The updated XJ also features soft closing door technology which ensures that the doors of the XJ are securely closed with minimum exertion and undue noise.

The 14MY XJR incorporates bespoke chassis and aerodynamic developments for a more focused, agile and responsive drive. It will sprint to 100km/h from a standstill in 4.6 seconds on route to an electronically limited top speed of 280km/h.
