Pickup Design beefs up Volkswagen Amarok

Unlike the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux, which are available in pumped up guises complete with muscular fenders and chunky wheels, Volkswagen’s Amarok has always been a little… subdued. But help is on hand, thanks to Pickup Design.

The makeover starts with a more aggressive front fascia with larger air intakes, front bonnet protector and chunky silver scuff plates. The tuner has also installed a set of flared wheel arches, black wheels with fat off-road tyres, an LED light bar on the roof.

At the back, the rear bumper has been redesigned and now incorporates a pair of exhaust outlet, while the Amarok’s rear deck gains a subtle spoiler.

Stepping into the interior, Pickup Design has updated the interior with a combination of black leather and fabric upholstery with light brown accents, along with a chunky sports steering wheel.

Finally, each of the limited edition Amarok gets a small plaque in the centre console announcing itself as just one of 500 units built.
