Outrageous concepts based on Scion FR-S/Toyota 86 headed to SEMA

Bulletproof FR-S Concept One Supercar front quarter

While Scion isn’t a brand known to many people outside of America, it’s Toyota’s youth oriented marque specifically for the North American market. One of the brand’s product is the Toyota 86-based Scion FR-S.

For the upcoming SEMA show, Scion will be presenting three concepts based on the FR-S. The first is the ‘x FR-S‘, designed by DJ and producer, Steve Aoki. It cater to his profession, the car is equipped with “a fully operational mixing station, a custom Pioneer sound system with multiple component speaker packages, a boot lid mounted LCD display, a fog machine and strobe lighting”.

Next on the podium is the Greddy x Scion Racing FR-S featuring a fully sick wide body kit and oversized, upright rear spoiler. Inside, there’s a roll cage and a pair of sports bucket racing seats. It is also equipped with a Toyota 3.0-litre turbocharged in-line six engine churning out 552kW (750hp) and 730Nm of torque.

Finally, there’s the Bulletproof FR-S Concept One Supercar. According to its maker, it is the “younger brother to the LFA with a manual transmission and an even higher power to weight ration.” There are a host of modifications to the car, including a Powerhouse Amuse Turbo Kit with Borg Warner EFR 6758 turbocharger, Titanium Turbo downpipe and a Powerhouse Amuse R1 Titan Extra STTI exhaust system.

Inside, the cabin is drapped in bright red Alcantara and the driver and front passenger are cacooned in a pair of Recaro racing seats.
