522kW Mercedes-AMG C 63 by Väth good enough for 340km/h

With 375 kW and 700 Nm from its 4.0-litre twin turbo V8, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 coupe is no slouch, but that doesn’t stop German tuner Väth from spicing it up further.

First up is a larger turbocharger for the bent eight, followed by a new oil cooler for the engine and transmission. A new Väth-developed engine tune pulls everything together and the end result is a fire breathing 522kW of power and a colossal 900Nm of torque.

The seven-speed dual clutch gearbox is retained but now spins the rear wheels from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.3 seconds, shaving some 0.6 second off the factory time. Top speed now crests 340km/h – a supercar territory, literally.

All this comes at a price though, with Väth wanting 12,800 euros for the setup. But still, the Mercedes-AMG V 63 should now be able to give a Porsche 911 Turbo a run for its money.
