A couple of videos of the refreshed 2014 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado have been released online. We can’t confirm whether the videos were leaks or released by Toyota themselves as part of a publicity stunt for the car.
Nevertheless, they afford us a closer look at one of the most prominent 4WDs on the market. The 2014 model gets a more dramatic front fascia with larger grille sandwiched by a pair of distinctive headlights. The rear styling of the Land Cruiser Prado is less controversial, with a slightly revised tailgate and new taillights.
Inside, changes are much harder to spot, but there are new, classier switchgears and trim.
The car’s engine lineup is expected to be carried over. That means a range a 127kW/410Nm 3.0-litre turbo diesel and 202kW/381Nm 4.0-litre V6 petrol, mated with either a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission.
