Video: 2014 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG teased

With the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class officially launched, the world is now waiting eagerly for the high-performance S63 AMG.

And to vet our appetite, Mercedes-Benz has released a short teaser video showing the more aggressively designed front bumper featuring larger air intakes and a carbon fibre splitter. The short footage also gives a glimpse of the rear diffuser, made of carbon fibre of course, flanked by four square tailpipes that are increasingly a trademark of AMG vehicles.

Other cues that the car in the video is indeed the latest S63 AMG include the V8 Biturbo badge on the front guard and the digital rev counter. Most important of all, Mercedes has even teased us with the sound of the mighty V8 firing up.

The all-new S63 AMG is likely to sport a revised version of the previous model’s 420kW 5.5-litre V8.

It is expected to make its global debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
