Honda Civic Hatch Diesel joins local lineup

Honda has added a diesel variant to its popular Civic Hatch. The turbocharged 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel equipped Civic Hatch DTi-S returns an impressive 4L/100km and emits just 105g/km of CO2.

Priced from $26,990 plus on road costs, Honda Australia’s first diesel powered Civic produces 88kW and 300Nm of torque. The Civic Hatch diesel also marks the debut of Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology in Australia.

“The key focus of our Earth Dreams Technology philosophy is to balance environmental efficiency with the dynamic performance expected of a Honda,” said Suehiro Hasshi, Large Project Leader for the Civic Hatch 1.6-litre i-DTEC. “It is important that our cars are fun to drive.”
