BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupé

BMW and Pininfarina has got together and created a new concept that will debut at the 2013 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. The Gran Lusso Coupé is the next logical step up from the BMW Zagato Coupè it brought to the same event last year.

Designed to tease the long-dead BMW 8 Series, with its long wheelbase, a stretched nose and set-back greenhouse with a sloping roofline, the Gran Lusso Coupè reinforces the link.

Enhancing the powerful impact of the side profile are convex taperings that add a dynamic elegance.

Underneath the elongated bonnet is a V12 engine that is likely to be pinched from the BMW 760.
