Audi will introduce the S3 Cabriolet at the Geneva Motor Show. Sharing its 2.0-litre TFSI engine that develops 221kW of power and 380Nm of torque with the S3 Sportsback and Volkswagen Golf R, the S3 Cabriolet quattro is touted as the most powerful car in its class by Audi. Despite the performance, the sun-seeker consumes just 7.1L/100km of fuel on average.

Like the A3 Cabriolet, the four-seater S3 Cabriolet is based on the A3 sedan’s platform and measures 4.43 metres long, 1.79 metres wide, 1.39 metres tall and has a 2.60 metres wheelbase, giving the car a more muscular as well as balanced proportion.

Its light weight soft top is made of magnesium, aluminium and high-strength steel, with a layer of insulating foam underneath to reduce noise level in the interior. The top is available in three colours and opens or closes in 18 seconds at speeds of up to 50km/h.

The S3 Cabriolet runs on 18-inch aluminium wheels wrapped in 225/40 R18 tyres.

The Audi S3 Cabriolet is set to arrive in Australia at the end of 2014.
