Volkswagen has announced the MY19 Volkswagen Golf GTI will be offered with a driveaway price of $47,990 until March 31.
Now available solely as a five door with the heart of the 2017 limited run Golf GTI Performance Edition 1, the Golf GTI now packs 180kW of power and 370Nm of torque from its 2.0-litre turbo petrol.
Power is channeled to the front wheels via a 7-speed multi-clutch transmission and electro-mechanical front differential lock previously exclusive to the Performance Edition. The MY19 model also features the ventilated front and rear disc package from the Golf R.
Other goodies standard in the model includes the much in demand Active Info digital instruments and the Driver Assistance Pack.
All new Volkswagens also come with five-year/unlimited kilometer warranty and 12 months roadside assist with the option of capped price servicing packages.
