Is this the 2019 Audi RS Q3?

We have only just begun to soak in the new look of the recently unveiled second generation Audi Q3, and now the internet has given us this. It’s the new Audi RS Q3, as envisioned by renowned design studio X-Tomi Design.

While it’s only a matter of time when Audi will introduce an RS version of the new Q3 (expected in late 2019), the early sneak peak is very much welcomed. And what a good effort from the folks at X-Tomi,too.

The rendering is hitting all the right notes, with the performance flagship of the Q3 range getting a proper all around chrome delete, beefed up bumpers and side skirts, new RS grille, black highlights and large wheels.

It’s in the right colour, too. You can bet the real thing will look very similar to this rendering.

While the standard Q3 (below) is powered by a range of four-cylinder engines developing up to 169kW of power, the RS is likely to receive the performance division’s iconic five-cylinder turbo engine that is seeing action in the current TT RS. Expect power level to be no less than 250kW, while Quattro all-wheel drive is certain, so is a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
