Featuring a bold new face first seen on the Mitsubishi Outlander, the Challenger’s front fascia is characterised by its LED-infused headlight and a prominent grille with extensive use of chrome. What is not expected is the rather unique tail light design that stretches vertically down towards the rear bumper.

As reported earlier, the new Challenger is based on the new Triton ute, which means it will inherit its rugged off-road capability. The SUV’s engine lineup is also expected to mirror that of the Triton, with a new 2.4-litre MIVEC turbo-diesel delivering 133kW and 430Nm matched with either a 6-speed manual or optional 5-speed auto.
