2015 Mercedes C 63 AMG lands from $154,900

The much-anticipated Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG S Sedan and Estate have arrived Down Under. One of the highest selling performance vehicles in Australia, the C-Class flagship is available in a choice of four variants – the saloon and the estate are both offered as the C 63 AMG and C 63 AMG S, with the C 63 S set up for even more dynamic handling and performance.

Arriving first at launch, the more powerful Mercedes-AMG C 63 AMG S will be available from $154,900 excluding on-roads for the Sedan and $157,400 for the Estate.

The Mercedes C 63 AMG S is driven by a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine closely related to the power unit that provides propulsion in the Mercedes-AMG GT S. Producing 375 kW of power and 700 Nm of torque, the C 63 S consumes 8.6 litres per 100 kilometres in the combined cycle, making the C 63 S the most fuel-efficient eight-cylinder car in the high-performance segment.

The C 63 AMG sedan sprints from zero to 100km/h in 4.1 seconds, while the S version is fractionally quicker, at 4.0 seconds.

The extensive range of standard equipment includes the AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers, the electronic rear locking differential and the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programmes. The highly exclusive “Edition 1” is available from market launch.
