Video: New Honda Civic Caught Undisguised!

A few weeks ago, we showed you some spy pics of a heavily clad 2011 Honda Civic. Our friends with the long lens have now caught one with no camouflage undergoing testing desert testing somewhere in the Middle East.

As with all other manufacturers lately, the ‘new’ Honda Civic is more akin to an extensive facelift. Blame it on the Global Financial Crisis!

From the spy video, the front and rear fascias have been brought up to date with a new grille and head lamps. The lines are resolved and modern. At the back, a new LED lamp cluster. It reminds me of a first generation Prius.

In profile though, it is clear that most of the sheet metal are carried over. Likewise, the interior has received a mild facelift with new steering wheel and trims. The trade mark bi-level instrument is still there and current owners of the Civic will feel right at home.

In terms of power train, we will have to wait closer to launch date for details. Expect the usual power and efficiency improvements.
