If you think you are still seeing too many Audi R8 V10 on the streets and want a bit more exclusivity, German tuner PPI Automotive Design have come to the rescue. With only ten examples to be built, PPI have produced the ultimate R8. Called the PPI Razor GTR-10 R8, from the exterior to the cockpit and engine, there is no compromise here. Starting off with the super delicious wide body aero kit which consists of front bumper with splitter, rear bumper with integrated diffuser, side skirts, extended front and rear fenders with enlarged air intakes, rear spoiler, bonnet, and a redesigned rear engine glass cover with ventilation vents. Phew.. that’s alot of aero bits there!
The V10 engine has also been retuned. With new performance intakes and exhaust system the V10 now develops 601 horsepower, 81 more than the factory 520 horsepower. Torque is also increased to 560 Nm.
Power is transferred to the tarmac through a set of lightweight MAG11 Forged Aluminium PPI wheels, weighing 10.0 kg with 245/35 ZR 19 Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tyres at front, and 12.0J x 20 MAG11 wheels weighing 10.9 kg with 325/25 ZR 20 at the back.
The suspension is sourced from renown suspension maker KW Suspension. It features a hydraulic lift system which can increase the front clearance by up to 45 mm at the touch of a button located in the cockpit.
Despite the outrageous bodykit, wings and underbody aero parts, the PPI Razor GTR-10 R8 has not put on any weight at all, instead it is 250 kg lighter than the factory version. This is thanks to extensive use of carbon fibre panels on the enterior and carbon fibre inserts on the interior. All these mean this more powerful and lighter R8 goes from 0-100 km/h in a blistering 3.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 335 km/h!
And like any super exclusive limited production cars, a small aluminium plate showing the production number of the car is placed in the cockpit. No pricing details have been released yet. But in the mean check out the photos of this amazing PPI Razor GTR-10 R8 after the jump.
