Lumma Design CLR X 5 RS BMW X5

The all-new 2013 BMW X5 won’t hit showrooms until November this year but tuner Lumma Design has already gone a step ahead by previewing a new aero package for the Bavarian SUV.

Dubbed the CLR X 5 RS, the chunky body kit comprises of a new front bumper with larger air intakes, side skirts, wheel arch extensions, vented bonnet, new rear bumper and rear spoiler. If that’s not hot enough, there are also the blackened kidney grille, smoked rear lights and Lumma Design decals.

Finishing off the aggressive look is a set of 23-inch alloy rims wrapped in ultra low profile tyres.

For the X5’s interior, Lumma Design is offering custom made full leather upholstery, carbon fibre trim, alloy pedals and exclusive Lumma Design embroidered floor mats.

The new BMW X5 will initially be launched with three engines – the BMW X5 xDrive50i with a new generation of 330kW/650Nm V8 petrol engine, the BMW X5 xDrive30d with a revised 190kW/560Nm six-cylinder in-line diesel and the BMW X5 M50d M Performance with a 280kW/740Nm tri-turbo six-cylinder in-line diesel.

All models are fitted with an eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard driving all four wheels (except BMW X5 sDrive25d).

The range will be joined in December 2013 by the BMW X5 xDrive40d, xDrive35i, xDrive25d and sDrive25d.
