ABT upgrades Volkswagen Tiguan

ABT has released a range of power upgrade packages for the new second-generation Volkswagen Tiguan compact SUV.

The 2.0-litre turbodiesel Tiguan models benefit from revised engine mapping with the 140TDI gaining 18kW and 40Nm for a peak output of 158kW and 440Nm, while the less powerful 110TDI liberates an extra 22kW and 40Nm to produce 132kW and 380Nm.

Complementing the extra punch, ABT has equipped the Tiguan with a set of lowering springs for a 30mm drop in ride height. Customers can also opt for custom ABT wheels measuring up to 21-inch in size for a properly aggressive look for the crossover.

The German tuner plans to roll out upgrade kit for the petrol Tiguan models at a later date.
