Vorsteiner – BMW M3 Convertible Carbon-fibre Bootlid

Coupé Cabriolets’ or CC’s are generally versatile vehicles that are good for top down motoring, while also providing the security of a hardtop. However, they are also heavy and a packaging nightmare due to the folding hardtop. This affects the handling of the vehicle, especially a high performance one like the BMW M3 Convertible.

In comes tuning specialist, Vorsteiner who promises to solve this issue – to some degree. They have come up with a carbon fibre bootlid for the latest BMW 3-Series Convertible. The new bootlid incorporates a built in ‘duck bill’ spoiler.  You may recall a similar spoiler on the BMW M3 CSL Special Edition.

Vorsteiner claims the bootlid is the lightest in the market to date. All OE mounting points will be carried over for the uninterrupted usage of the folding hardtop mechanism.
