SPIED: Genesis GV80 SUV caught undisguised with interior revealed

Genesis’ upcoming GV80 luxury SUV has revealed itself in some tantalising spy shots posted online.

Snapped during a commercial shoot, the images were shared on a number of online platforms, including Instagram and Korean forum, Bobaedream.

The images show the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE rival completely undisguised, sporting a Bentley Bentayga-like profile, along with the brand’s signature crest grille.

Inside, the luxuriously appointed cabin features a unique two-spoke steering wheel, large digital instrument cluster, Range Rover style rotary gear dial and climate control panel, as well as a pop-up Drive Mode selector.

The GV80’s infotainment is taken care of by a widescreen infotainment system mounted further up, while the slender air vents below come with metallic accents that continue across the passenger side.

Under the bonnet, the GV80 is expected to come with a range of powerplants, including a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-pot producing 224kW (330hp/304PS) and 3.5-litre V6 with 279kW (375hp/380PS) and 530Nm. Certain markets will also be getting a 3.0-litre straight-six diesel developing 204kW (274hp/278PS) and 589Nm of torque.

The GV80 is set to be the most important model for Genesis to cater for the insatiable demands of SUVs around the globe and in Australia. It is rumoured to debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
