Peugeot 308 GT unveiled ahead of Paris debut

Peugeot has unveiled the 308 GT ahead of its debut at the Paris Motor Show.

The GT is positioned as the sportier variant of the 308, distinguishable from the standard 308 by new LED headlights and turning lights up the front and lacquered black diffuser and twin exhaust tips at the rear.

The 308 GT will be offered with a choice of two engines. Petrol powered model is equipped with a turbocharged four-cylinder 1.6-litre THP engine developing 150kW and 285Nm, driving the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission as standard.

The diesel offering comes in the form of a four-cylinder 2.0-litre BlueHDI turbodiesel rated at 133kW and 400Nm. The engine is paired with an automatic transmission.

The 308 GT receives sports tuned suspension, sharper throttle response and Driver Sport Pack as standard. Set to hit showrooms in October, the 308 GT will be available in both hatchback and wagon body styles.
