Nissan GT-R vs BMW M5

It seems nothing south of US$300,000 can dethrone Japan’s ultimate supercar, the Nissan GT-R; whether in a straight line or on twisty B-roads. Journalists all over the world have thrown everything that they can at the Godzilla, but not one is fazed by the mighty warrior.

In this showdown, our friends at Autocar pitched the GT-R against one of the fastest four door saloons in the world – the new BMW M5. Both vehicles feature over 500 horsepower (373kW), but the BMW weighs over 400 pounds (181kg) more, and the GT-R counters with one of the planet’s most impressive all-wheel-drive systems.

Both cars were put through a series of tests consisting of acceleration, cornering, braking, G-force and general feel. We will let you find out after the video below which car went home with the victory cup. However, all we can say is the GT-R blitz from 0 – 100km/h in 2.8 seconds!
