BMW’s new flagship M760Li gets a 441kW Turbo V12

BMW has finally applied the M Performance badge to a 7 series model. The all new M760Li comes with a twin-turbo V-12 engine pumping out an impressive 441kW. This is the first V12 to be fitted to the new 7 series line and finally brings a competitor to the AMG-S63 and Audi S8.

The M760Li xDrive brings an all new M Performance TwinPower Turbo 12-cylinder petrol engine. This 6.6-litre V12 develops output of 441 kW with a peak torque of 800 Nm at 1,500 rpm. Fuel consumption remains reasonable with a combined usage of 12.6 l/100 km . Paired with an eight-speed steptronic transmission, the saloon can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. Optionally, an M Driver’s Package is available bumping the speed limiter to 305 km/h. To complement the enormous power, a set of 19-inch M Sport brakes boasting blue metallic calipers and M badging ensure unbeatable deceleration at all times.

The saloon is fitted with the same package of driver assistance systems as with other variants of the 7 Series range. The ‘Driving Assistant Plus’ system includes the Steering and lane control assistant, Lane keeping with active side collision protection, Rear collision prevention and Crossing traffic warnings. Meanwhile, the Traffic jam system involves semi-automated driving that can be used on any type of road. Active Cruise Control with Stop&Go function is also available and can now incorporate detected road restrictions automatically. The new generation of the Surround View system now also includes a 3D View and Panorama View option in the Control Display.

Its exterior features the M aerodynamic package with larger air intakes in the front apron and exclusive 20-inch M light-alloy wheels in double-spoke 760M design. An exclusive Cerium Grey finish is used for the kidney grille, grille bars, front apron, door handles, door trim elements and boot lid handle. A new M sports exhaust system with flap control generates an rich V12 sound and adds the finishing touches to the signature M Performance look.

The interior also gets some M personality with an exclusive M leather steering wheel with shift paddles for manual gear changes on the reverse and various V12 logos including an illuminated set on the door sills

Seats come electrically adjustable with memory function and Fineline black wood interior trim strips with high-gloss metal effect. Alcantara Anthracite headliner generates a luxurious ambiance. Exclusive Nappa leather trim covers the seat surfaces, seat side sections, head restraints, door cards and armrests.

For customers looking to trade the M appearance of their BMW M760Li xDrive for a more discreet luxurious look, the optional V12 Excellence package is available at no extra cost. This variant significantly alters the personality of the M760Li, shedding the aerodynamic package and adding 20-inch BMW Individual light-alloy wheels in W-spoke 646 design high-gloss polished with staggered tyres. There is also a high-gloss Black finish for the brake calipers.
